May Quarterly Update

Ron Mycholuk, General Manager, Training Sector

For over 30 years, Danatec has been providing award-winning training for safety, but now Danatec has also emerged as a leader in public security and first responder training.

Q1 was successful and busy for our security line of business as we reached out to an ever-increasing number of companies and individuals who might need security and de-escalation training. It was an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves across Canada and identify what people need for security training.

Our team has been hard at work providing around the clock customer service, helping book licensing exams, working with government organizations. We’ve also delivered training sessions for police and paramedics merging award winning research with adult learning principles to protect first responders and the public from stressful and dangerous situations.

With spring in full swing and summer around the corner, we are feverishly helping train and place guards for work sites, parades, conventions, events and more all across Canada. We are helping provide basic, and advanced security guard training, mental health awareness and de-escalation training, Workplace Cannabis training, WHMIS and more. Our goal is to ensure that the first line of security is properly trained, effective and confident when keeping the public safe at any event or location.

We’ve been working diligently to compile the feedback from learners and training managers who are taking our course, make updates and increasing the value and learning throughout all our course offerings.

I look forward to sharing more information about some exciting projects and new courses we will be offering later this year.
